Things have moved on in leaps and bounds from when I first became involved in this industry collecting community charge in deprived areas of east London. Back then I was working as a private bailiff when you were lucky to even be able to make a call with a mobile phone. A few years on I was taken on by a London borough who wanted to revolutionise their in-house bailiff team and was looking to bridge the gap between the private and public sector. During my time there I gained a wealth of experience and knowledge on how a local authority works and what is and isn’t expected of bailiff companies.
In 2002 I set up this company initially to enforce arrest warrants issued for council tax debt. Nobody specialised in this field and to this day do not know of any company that does. My first clients were in west London which soon spread to neighbouring boroughs who were recommended our services.
The company now provides a range of services to eight boroughs to the north, west and east of London.
We are a still a small company that provides a bespoke service with all cases being worked individually totally different to large companies, we do not play the numbers game. All cases are dynamically assessed with pre-visit checks made, our officers are fully certificated and indemnified adhering strictly to national standards, they have excellent local knowledge working synomonously with our clients, just like having an in-house team. Our team of enforcement officers are hand picked with a wealth of knowledge and experience, understand how these forms of local taxation work and are fully and uniquely trained in the new enforcement act, myself being part of the consultation team who worked with the Court Service tailoring the new act.
We not only enforce liability orders and arrest warrants but provide a full service that includes property inspections both written and photographic, processing of relief forms and identifying fraudulent claims and vulnerable debtors. All backed up with a client accessible real-time GPS tracked custom designed computer system.
